Triple Raptor Experience

We have come up with this Triple Raptor Experience to show you all three types of birds that we have here at the center without having to leave the training green (Kate’s front lawn). This is a perfect experience for hot summer days and folks with mobility issues.

First: Falcons – Watch as a falconer lure stoops one of our birds who can reach amazing speeds in an aerial demonstration of swiftness and agility. See this falcon demonstrate why they are one of the fastest creatures on the planet.

Second: Hawks – After we fly the falcon, we glove up and work with one of our trained Harris hawks on the training green, putting them through their paces. Here you have the opportunity to interact with one of our raptors. We teach you to call the bird to the glove and cast it away.

Third: Owls – And lastly, we finish up with the owl. Meet one of the most primitive raptors on the planet and explore the remarkable adaptations that make them the apex night flier.

Throughout your experience you will learn about the art of falconry and our contribution to conservation, the natural history of the different raptors and their role in the environment.

Throughout you will have photo opportunities. This program has been developed by popular demand by our past clients, and now we are offering it as an event perfectly suited to the summer when we cannot hike through our woods and fly in the valley.
