The Falconry Experience is a captivating, three-hour, hands-on journey into the ancient art of falconry—an unforgettable encounter with trained birds of prey.

Begin by meeting our team and getting acquainted with the remarkable raptors that call our center home. You’ll learn about each bird’s natural history, the foundations of falconry, and the vital roles these predators play in their ecosystems.

We then guide you through basic field etiquette before heading out to a nearby meadow. There, you’ll witness the incredible speed and precision of our falcons in action, experiencing firsthand why they’re the fastest animals on Earth.

After the flight demonstrations, we return the falcons to their mews and invite you to glove up. With a trained Harris hawk perched on your arm, you’ll venture into the wooded hills behind the center. Unlike the falcon, the Harris hawk hunts and flies with a social, cooperative style—allowing for a truly personal and interactive experience. Many guests find this to be the most touching and memorable part of the day.

The experience concludes back at the center with a close-up encounter with one of our resident owls—majestic, mysterious, and always a crowd favorite.
